The following scholarships below either directly deal with students entering health fields (MyOTC.com Scholarship for Health Access and Tylenol Future Care Scholarship) or more broadly (Hyundai Women in STEM Scholarship).

“The MyOTC.com Scholarship for Health Access is a $5,000 scholarship from Chapter to support the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students pursuing careers in medicine, nursing, public health, or related fields, this scholarship invites students to think critically about one of the most important challenges in healthcare today: access.

Selection Criteria

Scholarships360 will review applications and award this scholarship on the basis of:

  • Quality, clarity, and originality of the applicant’s essay response
  • Demonstrated academic effort and achievement, including but not limited to GPA (as evidenced by transcript or self-reported academic history)
  • Alignment of the applicant’s experiences, goals, and interests with the purpose of the scholarship

Finalists for this scholarship will be contacted for a brief interview.

Eligible Recipients

High school seniors and college undergraduates who identify as female, reside in the United States, and wish to pursue a STEM-related field of education.

Essay Prompt: Top Talent Makes the Best Team

At Hyundai, we know the success of a company is only equal to the talent of its team. We seek those who persevere, ask, “Why not?” and dare to make a difference.

In 500 words or less, tell us how, as a woman in STEM, you’ll redefine convention by doing things differently, more efficiently. We want you to succeed—and hopefully even consider working with us one day.”

Note: If you are not sure how your major may have a connection with the topic above (for example, let’s say you are seeking a Bachelor of Science in Cardiorespiratory Care Science), then stretch your definition a bit.

You can make an appointment in the AARC Writing Center at TSU to help with brainstorming ideas and discuss a plan for your essay. You can write up something and have one of the writing consultants at the TSU Writing Center look it over (in person or online).

“Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Be a resident of the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
  • Be a graduate student or be a college senior who will be enrolling in graduate school during the 2026-27 academic year.
  • Provide proof of enrollment to a graduate program in medical school, nursing, and/or pharmacy located in the 50 United States, Puerto Rico or the District of Columbia.
  • Have one or more years of school remaining.

Scholarships will be awarded to students and practitioners who are seeking a degree to actively treat patients.
