More than $35,000 in Money: Scholarships for College and High School Students to Aspire To

This is Part 2 of the scholarship handout I created for high school students who attended the KYB Leadership Academy Workshop at the Brown-Daniel Library at Tennessee State University on Friday, June 12, 2026.

Part 2 is a handout entitled “Scholarships to Aspire Toward to Help Pay for College”: scholarships for Middle Tennessee students that they can start preparing for. This handout will contain scholarships that you can apply for in your senior year of high school.

A 500+ word essay on a tech project or initiative question, open to high school seniors and college undergraduates who are female or identify as female, reside in the U.S., and wish to pursue a STEM-related field of education.

The above link takes you to the 2025 question, so you can get an idea of what type of questions are asked.

Here’s an idea for a plan: make weekly appointments in the TSU Writing Center, working on strengthening your writing skills. When the question becomes available, work through several drafts with the writing consultants at TSU reviewing and offering suggestions (I would suggest not focusing on just one writing consultant but using several).
