Scholarship Tigers–Students Helping Each Other Find Money for College

I am Mike Turner, a computer lab manager and developmental writing instructor at Tennessee State University.

I have created this blog as an experiment in using social networking tools (Web 2.0) and education.

This blog will be like a sandbox, in which I and other students get to play with Web 2.0 technology.  Learning takes place when people are allowed to play, make mistakes, make those mistakes without ridicule, so they can change things around a bit in order to comprehend.

I have been teaching a seminar on searching for scholarships and internships since 1996.  This blog will also serve as a vehicle to teach students about the process of finding money and opportunities to pay for college.
