“At Caring.com, we understand the demanding lifestyle of student-caregivers and the challenges they may face. The Student-Caregiver Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are caring for an adult relative while enrolled in college.
Two scholarships of $1,500 are awarded each year to student-caregivers to help cover costs of tuition and books. Applicants must be full-time college students at an accredited two-or-four-year college or university in the United States, or full-time high school students who are registered to attend a qualifying institution the following semester.
How to Apply
Interested students can submit either a 1,500-word essay or a two-minute video addressing the following questions:
Who are you caring for and how are you involved as their caregiver?
How has your role as a caregiver influenced the decision for your major/career path?

It is a good idea to go to each website for complete information. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions of the scholarship providers.
As funk combines a mixture of jazz, soul, and R&B, so does life: we are a mixture of many different influences and philosophies.
Creativity in music, math, writing, painting, any form of expression, demands the accident of play, allowing the free roaming of ideas and words and notes to find expression. And then a following of that play to see where it might lead.
If you ever find learning a new topic difficult, you might be trying too hard. If you can allow the element of play and games, you will find the learning much easier and memorable.
If you find looking for scholarships and other opportunities dreary, let elements of play and games enter into your search.
Try to apply for as many scholarships as possible from week to week: can you apply for two this week and try for three next week.
We will discuss how searching for scholarships could be like play—where a musician may play random notes and chords, hoping for a whisper, a spark of something greater if she or he follows a chord or a note to see where it goes.
We will explore scholarships for each student who attends this seminar.

Money Plans–Plan to Find Money for School Full Time
Some students slack off during the summer, but you can plan to find money and keep pursuing scholarships and other opportunities year round.
Also, once you learn of opportunities for your sophomore, junior, or senior year, you can prepare for those opportunities now.
It is good to have a plan A, but you might also want to make a plan B, and go one further and make a plan C.
We will discuss ways to make plans, and we will focus on the attendees to the workshop. I will ask targeted questions, and then start looking for scholarships, internships, and other opportunities for some of the participants.
I will post those results, using initials only, with each attendee’s permission.
If you are a student attending Tennessee State University (or a student at another designated Thurgood Marshall College Fund-Member School), then you may apply for scholarships available through the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
Check back every week or two for new scholarships, as TMCF administers over 500 scholarships. Some scholarships are not only for the 47 member institutions, but can be used for other schools too, like graduate school.

Let’s say you are a TSU student but your home state is Illinois. You can see what programs are offered at the Master’s level or Ph.D. level as part the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP).
If it falls in line with your plans, you can seek out a graduate degree for lowered tuition and make plans to pay for school with scholarships, assistantships, or research fellowships.
