To learn about a chance to earn one of five $1,000 scholarship, read the contest rules, and then on April 12, check out what the requirements are:

• From webpage: “The Second Chance College Scholarships Contest is open to citizens and aliens legally residing in the USA with High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

• Scholarship funds are payable to the winner’s college/university or certified trade school in the United States; winner must enroll or already be enrolled for Spring 2018 session.

• Winner selection is NOT based on financial need, GPA or demographic criteria.”

You might be required to learn about fire sprinklers and either take a quiz, earning the chance to be one of the five to receive $1,000, or you might be required to write an essay.

I won’t know myself until noon on April 12.
