I wanted to alert the Tiger Scholars to this great opportunity.

You can enter the Dollar General READiscover your Love of Learning Literacy Rocks Essay Contest.

You must write an essay in 200 words or less on the following: “Tell us your story of how reading and education have brought you closer to fulfilling your dreams in 200 words or less. The essay must be based on actual events.”

One Grand Prize of a $50,000 Educational Grant and Grand Ole Opry Weekend, hosted by Gretchen Wilson.

Five first prizes of $5,000 Educational Grants.

The essay contest ends at 11:59:59 PM (EDT) 8/30/10, or 10:59: 59 PM in the Central Time Zone.
